George, thanks this journey hasn't been easy-- I had 3 recurrences but all of them were my fault for getting out of my healthy eating routine but it's been a yr and a few months that I'm doing amazingly awesome and even though this site is specifically for diabetes I know I will benefit from all the information provided not only for myself but for my dad.... Thanks a bunch & good night... We are conquerors of this deadly disease--- Good to see your doing well,,, stay healthy and lets keep up the good work on staying healthy for a verrrryyyy long time,,, GOD BLESS!!

@ George thanks for the comment, my dad is very stubborn and unfortunately I live in Fl and hie's in Jersey it's to far to be on top of him making sure he eats healthy but I do call him and give him all my love and support but just like Jeff mentioned about his dad that he didn't want anything controlling his life,,, well those were my dads exact words,,,,and all we can do at this point is pray lots for them, give them LOVE and support....just like Jeff mentioned.....

Hello there, I'm new here and not to familiar how forums work but all for the love of LOVE & SUPPORT... I'm not diabetic, my dad is and my concern is that i have asked him numerous times to get me all the info I need in regards to his condition in order to get him into some type of holistic medicine. All I know is that the doc has him on AVANDIA which lately has been giving him side effects with his vitals high & sugar levels are high also, almost 200 how can I get my stubborn old daddy to listen to me. I hope to learn alot from this site...
